Another garbage show about the fire service and wholly about the LAFD. The worst movie that did a lot of damage to the fire service was BACKDRAFT. Everything they did in that movie was so totally out in left field, that it took months to live down that bomb!

This new show is written as if they knew what a fire engine looked like and the inside of a kitchen in the engine house but everything else protayed in the show is not how things happen.

I was so flabberghasted watching it, that I erased it from my DVR. They had a special screening for members of the LAFD a while back and I was told they were so embarrassed, some almost walked out.

The only TV show that did anything for the fire service was EMERGENCY. It made the whole country aware that there was a fire service and what it did.

I got through about half of it. Awful. It's off the DVR schedule. Expected so much more and was really looking forward to it but total waste of time. Amazing shows like this get made, don't see it lasting long.

The one that lasted was EMERGENCY. When we'd finish lunch, we'd say, "Let's go watch the experts," and turn on EMERGENCY.

I almost didn't watch because of Connie Britton (not a fan), but she didn't annoy me like she has in the past. But there were plenty of other problems. Yikes!

Ratings for the first episode were pretty good. It was actually the hightest rated show of the entire night.

I think this is an example of a studio just trying to keep a favored creator/producer happy. They said this was ordered directly to series, skipping the pilot phase.

Loved Emergency. Some off the wall network was running it last year, extremely dated but still enjoyable. I think I was 12 when it came out, fond memories :)

What's funny is they still run with a 3 man engine company (surround and drown), use private ambulance to transport, but they are still the 2nd best in the start of California...and probably the USA!!!

Tried one final episode last week. This show is awful, not going to waste my time again. They advertise some big disaster happening, pure teaser stuff, ends up being maybe three minutes of the show, then forgotten and they go to some lame dramatic story. You need help sleeping, just watch this show.

I remember Peter Krause from "Six Feet Under". He was decent back then, now he's just boring.

I absolutely love this show! I have not missed an episode yet of the last 3 seasons. Granted, it's not in the realm of EMERGENCY which was my all time favorite show ever, but I enjoy 9-1-1 a lot. Don't particularly care for Connie Britton in the first season. But all the rest of the actors are great. Especially Angela Bassett! She is one of my favorites. To me, it's one of the best shows on TV right now.

I recall seeing a video on YouTube or somewhere, with one of the actors from one of the 911 shows taking pizzas to a fire station somewhere. It was kind of sad/funny, as none of the firefighters seemed very impressed or responsive, and no one seemed to even know who he was, nor expressed any familiarity with the show.

I got into it during season 2, so I've never bothered to watch season 1. I really enjoy the adventures and the intense mix of comedy and drama.

My wife and I enjoy the first show as well as the Lone Star spin off. These shows are a bit over the top at times, but are really good none the less.
