I am new to this forum so please don't get too excited if the subject I am about to raise has been covered already.
I am still waiting for the prices of Plasma and LCD screens to fall (here in Australa) but the family TV needs replacing now. As whatever I buy will only be needed for about 12-18months I am going for the good old CRT TV. It will eventually end up with the kids as a DVD and Xbox only display device.
The question I have is. Will a 80cm 4:3 set display more of a widescreen picture than a designated 76cm widescreen TV.
Also, does anyone have any experience with 66cm Grundig Widescreen TV,s as these are quite accessable here. I am concerned about reliability and servicing here in Oz.
Cheers,
John
