8 Mile Uncensored is still partially censored!! GRR (1 Viewer)

Ok. So the specials are supposed to be uncensored. It even states on the back of the box..."EXCLUSIVE Never-Before Seen Uncensored "Superman" Music Video." For the most part it is uncensored...no words changed/dropped out, shows nudity, but...

...at 3min55sec into the song, where there is a line about putting Anthrax on a tampon and slapping someone till they can't stand...the words Antrhax and Slap have been dropped out. Following it, in the chorus, they replaced "bitch" with "chickens" and "fucking" with "empty". They left in "ass". Then, the last word said at 4min45sec is Bitch.

What is the point of editing one minute of the song? AND WHY STILL CALL IT UNCENSORED!!!

The term 'uncensored' is relative. It's like bad Flash animation. One persons accomplishment is anothers all-too tangible hell. That could easily be applied to Jimmy Kimmel's show too btw.

I was kind of disappointed that the Lose Yourself video wasn't on the set. It would have been great and a better inclusion than the Superman video.

This is one of Universal's worst moves yet. Why make an uncensored and censored BONUS FEATURES for crying out loud not the movie...when the film is rated R to begin with? I picked up the uncensored widescreen version a few minutes ago but I just don't see the point to censoring extras.

Who knows why. Of course it'd just be viewed as marketing if the movie wasn't already rated-R. But why not make the uncensored version actually uncensored?

Most music videos come in only one version. When they DO make 2 versions, the second one is more raw (think late night MTV/BET, etc)or video release ready, but rarely all the way uncut. Some exceptions would be ICP and Marilyn Manson's stuff, or the Death Row videos, but that's generally been my experience.
I'm not surprised by your experience. Rarely do movie studios go the extra music mile (unfortunately..)

I to found the editing of the music video odd. It featured copious amounts of female nudity and the word fuck was not edited out except toward the end. However I believe they edited out the word bitch and replaced it with chicken several times in the song not just toward the end. It just seems odd that the word fuck is left in but not bitch. Perhaps they wanted to tone down the attitude of disrespect toward women in the song which is odd because that seems to be the entire point of the song.
