I am currently building my home theater and I have wired it for 8.3. My question is if I use an additional 5.1 reciever to feed the rear L/C/R and surounds(sides)will this work? I heard of a guy doing somthing like this but I am not sure how he did it. Any input would be good. P.S. How can I post some pictures on here?

You could run the rear left and rear right pre-outs from your main 5.1 receiver into another receiver. The 2nd receiver would then take that stereo rear signal and use Pro Logic to get a center channel (and rears, but I can't imagine where that would benefit you) for 6.1. But it would not be discrete 6.1 and you could not use DD-EX or DTS-ES. Unless you have a super big room that needs the extra speakers, you are probably better of with 5.1 as the DVD was intended to be heard.
