Many hope that HD will go 1080p at some point. If there was a 50" plasma monitor with a native resolution of 1080p, would there be a noticeable difference in sharpness/detail compared to a one that had a NR of 720p, when viewed from a distance of 8-10'?

The reason I ask is because some say they can't tell a difference between an ED plasma and a HD plasma from a certain distance when viewing HD programing.

That's pretty damn small from pretty far away. I'm guessing you wouldn't see much of a difference, you probably couldnt even see the pixels on 720p from that far away, let alone with 1080.
