I'm trying to define what brand I should go with to set up my HT. I have been listening to the .M&K and Definitive Technologies ones. Now I'm not sure which one is going to be better off. I have quoted a M&K S-150THX ($1.400 pair) S-150C THX($700), SS-150THX ($1040) with a MX-150 MKII($1.120) and have as an option to add a pair of S-125TV ($1.000) and a S-125C ($500). The other option is a Definitive Tech PM 700($985),CLR-3000($821) Super Cube One($985) and a pair of Bipolar UIW-BPA Inwall($821).
The options for the amplifier are: Denon 3803 ($985) or a Yamaha RXZI ($2400) or a Pioneer 49TXi that I can get on the web for less than $3K but I'm afraid I won't have any warranty with it. Where do these web dealers get their equipment and why manufacturers are not honoring their warranties if you buy the equipment through them?
I have a Sony KV65 WV7000 hooked with a HD satellite system from DishNetwork and a Denon DVD-900 protected with a Panamax 5100

to choose speakers you should set a price range and than go and listen. take a dvd/music you like most, and see (hear) on what speaker they sound better. i found center speakers to be a very important element in ht, and finally chose one (paradigm studio), that to my ear sounded amazingly comfortablae with very dynamic sources.

The Yamaha/M&K combination would be sweet! Expensive, but awesome!
