'68 Thomas Crown Affair re-release; non-anamorphic again?

    Just read news here from DVD Answers about MGM's May re-release of the '68 version of The Thomas Crown Affair.

    Am I reading that right? Aside from the 'making of' feature, this looks like the same release down to the non-anamorphic transfer. MGM wouldn't be so stupid...would they? (It wouldn't be the only non-anamorphic release in the Steve MmcQueen box BTW; Junior Bonner lacks enhancement too.)

    I would say wait and see to be sure. A new high definition remaster must exist since it is showing on HDnet, so there wouldn't be any cost in including an anamorphic transfer for the re-release.
