Hi all! My brother in law is purchasing a new tv and he wants 65" under $3,000. Is it possible? What tv can you recomend and where can we get it at that price? He's located in southern california.

Bry,
You can get Samsung's 65" offering directly from them for $2999. I would imagine you could probably get it cheaper if you haggle some place locally.

Recently,

I went to Fry's in Orange County. They are giving great deals on the Mitsubishi tvs. Check out the Platinum Plus 65inch. Incredible tv. I was goiing to buy it (going FP insted). the Tv can come apart in two pieces making delivery easier.
I think it was just about $3000
