This is certainly proving to be the best year yet for 60s era dramatic television being released to DVD. A brief rundown of what is on the horizon:

    The Rifleman(set5)- 4/25
    The Big Valley S1- 5/16
The Time Tunnel vol. 2- 6/06
    Cheyenne S1-6/06 (50s actually)
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea S1 vol. 2- 7/11
    Rawhide S1- 7/25
    The Man from U.N.C.L.E. S1- 7/25

    2006 Release(?)--No Specific Date

    Daniel Boone S1
    Mission Impossible S1

    Have I left anything out?

I saw a pre-order the other day for...

    The Rifleman: Set 6 - 7/25

I guess, based on the eclectic nature of your listings (action/spy, westerns, sci-fi, etc.), we could mention...

    Wild, Wild West S1 - 6/6
    Perry Mason S1 - 7/11 (late 50's)

Gary "hope that Daniel Boone set gets a release date soon, it's been on the burner for a while now" O.

Here Come The Brides is coming out shortly...it doesn't really qualify; it's more like a western/comedy/drama kinda thing.

This is all very well; let's hope these shows get more than ONE season release!

Now if only we could get Hawaii 5-0 and Mannix!

It's not even listed on MPI's web page, but there it is on cduniverse.com!--thanks Gary. Looks like MPI is serious about releasing all 168 episodes (approx. 8 box sets; season sets to follow, no doubt).

I forgot about PM, WWW and HCTB, mainly because I have less interest in those series. But they certainly belong on what appears to be a nice, beefy list of soon-to-be-released classic drama.

It is the best year so far for these types of shows. Still waiting for announcements on:

The Fugitive, The Invaders, The Untouchables and Route 66. Apparently Sony won't let anyone do Route 66 although they have shown no inclination to do it themselves. The others are all part of the Paramount juggernaut.

Just curious, Michael why you've written off the possibility of a Sony-Image release for R66 a la 'Naked City'?
