Since I upgrade my main room with a new Yamaha RX-V2200, I've put my old Pioneer VSX-D409 in the bedroom. Now I'm looking for cheap speakers to go with it: Panasonic SB-HEP20. The only "problem": they're 6 ohms speakers and the VSX-D409 manual state to use 8-16 ohms speakers.
    Is this really a problem?
BTW I know I should get better speakers but I already went way over my budget with the Yamaha (was going to buy a Pioneer 811S and came back with the 2200[IMG] ).

Try them out and watch for heat buildup and distorted sound. Generally there is no problem with this...I used to run 6 Ohm Pioneers with various 8-16 Ohm receivers before and never had a problem.
