OK why is this, when I hooked up my DVD Audio to my receiver and I play a DTS music CD. When I use the 6 channel in, the volume is really low, and when I use the optical in it's a lot louder? Yes, both have DTS decoders on board.
    Thank you in advance,
    Don

You probably have to adjust the input level of the 6 channel input, I know my receiver has a variable level for that input.
Check the manual for your receiver- if it doesn't have an adjust for the input, check the output on the player and see if it has a level adjust.

Also if you've got your speakers set to "small" you're probably losing a lot of bass on the 5.1 channel input. Most recievers do bass redirection in the digital domain and therefore it's not active for the 5.1 channel input.
