6/8 President's Analyst DVD with restored music and scenes? (1 Viewer)

The VHS and LD versions of the President's Analyst use different music because of copyright mumbo jumbo and even worse, because of the change in some source music, a few scenes were actually edited too. They called it the "special home video version." Oddly enough, the original cut was cleared for broadcast but not for release on video. ....What a shame. One of my favorite films and I can only watch my old VHS taped off a pay TV airing of the original version.

Any word if the June 8 release will restore it to the original? I sure hope they do it right this time.

If it is coming from Paramount, I would hazard a guess that the original music will be used; I say this because their recent transfer of THE GREAT GATSBY, which had been tied up in similar ways, contains the theatrical version's original music, mostly by Irving Berlin.
