wILL THE 5es REMOTE WORK WITH THE 4ES or 7Es? My old 30ES remote is similar but it will only work with about 50% of things. What about the 2 way remote for the model year before the 5ES? Do you think that might work?

Probably most functions but the possibility exist that there could be a few differences such as a feature added or subtracted, DSP modes etc. Check with an ES dealer in your area before purchasing.
