Took me about 1m 45s to load the first page and I'm connecting at 49.2 Kbps.

A little long. You might want to offer a low bandwidth version of the site or try reducing the color depth of the images to 256 to reduce the file size.

Site looks cool, though.

dave, i have reduced the jpeg quality of the template image to 75 percent. please try it again and let me know how long it takes your computer to see my site.

thank you ches. i was really worried that users with 56k modem wouldnt be able to browse it quickly. i know my site is graphics heavy!
