55413 Mits and my Direct TV... (1 Viewer)

I have a 2004 55413 Mits. and a 36in Sony Trinitron in my bedroom. The picture quality is like night and day. The Sony looks so much better...why? They are hooked up to the exact same dish but the picture on the Mits is somewhat "fuzzy" so to speak but not with everything(but whenever I see something that looks "fuzzy" on the Mits it looks good on the Sony...but when I put a DVD in it looks better than the Sony.
Do I have to put up with this just because it's bigger?

yes, the bigger screen just amplifies the already lousy compressed signal
