Hey guys I was just wondering how much of a difference does this make in the Picture quality of a dvd player?? Picture quality is the only reason I want to upgrade so if I won't see a big difference then let me know. Becuase I now have the Sony 700P and I'm looking at getting either the Sony 715P that was just released, or the Panasonic 62S. The only difference I can really see between the 700 and the 715 is the video D/A converter. I am using a Panasonic 47 inch HDTV. And I'm not interested in the Sony 755 or the Panasonic 82S that is coming out, since I don't care about SACD or DVD-Audio.

Dan, I believe this subject was discussed here recently. Do a search on this board for '54' and '108' and see what you find.

Dan, good question - I was wondering the same myself. In case you have trouble finding the threads, here are a couple links I found informative:
    HTF Thread
    AVS Thread
These helped clear it up a little bit for me - hope you find them helpful.
    Regards,
    Mark
