5000UE- is this the same as Carol in wall wire?? Need info.... (1 Viewer)

These two look really similar to me. The 5000UE is a featured brand at BJ cables, but it looks the exact same as the carol in wall wire from the pictures. The 5000UE is more expensive and should be better wire in my mind, but is it?? Is the 5000UE a thick stranded wire like the carol, or is it a finer stranded wire similar to sound king 12awg?

More information on the 5000UE can be found here where 1000 feet will set you back $180. PartsExpress has the Carol product for about $100 for 500 feet.

As you see, the stranding is the same. I'm not really sure why this is, but my guess has to do with the need for cable of this sort to meet certain NEC codes. These sorts of cables are pretty much commodity items and it doesn't matter much whose you buy. Me, I'd buy on price and availability.
