Hi folks,

I'm about to move into our new home next month. I have purchased a new Denon 3808ci receiver, and I'm in the market of pairing up a set of speakers.

I'm willing to spend about $2k to $2.5k for the 5.1 speaker but would like to get some feedback from you folks out here. Please help me out.

What I want, is wall-hung type instead of in-wall. Music preference is vocal and classical. Of course, I will use my AV system to watch movies too.

I heard that B&W is pretty good, but some said it's overrated.

Thanks in advance.

I just set this system up for my Dad, and it is amazing for the money.

Speakers bought from SVSound.com:

5- SCS-01 Speakers
1- PB12-NSD

I used a Denon recieiver, and ran the Audyssey MulitiQ XT.

In your price range you probably have room to either make it a 7.1 system, or to upgrade the sub to a duel driver version.

No matter what, you'll be getting your moneys worth and then some.

Hi Brandon (sorry if I don't address you correctly),

Thanks for the quick response. I went to their web site, and the SCS-01 seems to be a bit big. When you hung them on the wall (I presume this is what you have done), are they visually distractive? Also, which country are they made of? Just curious..

Oops... I forgot to mention, our living room is relatively small: 11x12 feet, with wooden floor. I think 5.1 speaker set should do the work just fine. 7.1 might be overkilled?

well, look at the SBS-01 for your right, left and surrounds. They are half the size.

I worry more about great quality when picking a speaker, than if they are cute enough.

SVS in in Ohio USA.

they will fit on a bookshelf, and blend right in
