I just rented the xbox with Halo and a few other games. I plugged the rca's into the front of my reciever and used the dolby pro logic and it was quite good for sound.
I've seen some posts mentioning 5.1? How do you hook that up? Is there an adapter that the rental doesn't come with?
I'd love to here those little alien comments in 5.1.
(shh!! he can't hear us!) (oh nooo!)

You'll need a 5.1 cable pack. They come in two flavors, one for HD TVs and one for regular TVs.

Yup--if you don't have an HDTV, it's a bit cheaper to go with their "Advanced AV pack". You'll also need an optical (Toslink) cable--Xbox uses that to pass AC3, and not digital coax.
Oh, you'll also need an AV reciever capable of decoding AC3 into DD5.1--you have that, right? [IMG]
By the way, Halo in 5.1 kicks much arse!
