Hi All,

I have the below devices which is connected through HDMI cables.

1. Sony KDL-W900a Smart TV - 4 HDMI ports with 1 ARC feature in it.
2. Sony DAV-DZ340 - 1 HDMI ARC port
3. Desktop Computer - 1 HDMI port

i have connected
1. TV -----> HDMI ARC -----> Home Theatre
2. TV -----> HDMI -----> Desktop Computer

But i am not getting sound when playing DTS enabled file via TV USB. Also, it is able to play the Dolby Surround file but i think that is streaming it as stereo. Please tell me some good suggestions.

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Almost all TVs only send stereo through both their digital output and their ARC (with the exception of the signal decoded by their ATSC tuner). So your USB file played through the TV is unlikely to work. If the Sony receiver has a USB port that might work. And playing it through the computer should work.

As for the ARC, you almost always have to tuen it on in the setup of both the TV and receiver.

Probably need to read the OM of your HTiB. I doubt it plays DTS from inputs. It probably only plays it off a disc, like 99% of all HTiB.
