I have a Sony UBP-UX80 player, and on some titles it will randomly pause or tile and skip, like it's a dirty disc, but the disc is not dirty. I wipe it down anyway with a microfiber cloth. It was happened on Avengers Infinity War, Ready Player One, Goodfellas, and The Avengers. Strange thing is that it doesn't always happen, or happen in the same spot. I have turned off internet on my player, etc. I am sure this has been brought up by others as well, but has anyone had this issue and what have you done to correct it?

I own the same model player and was having similar issues. Based on a discuss elsewhere, there is a theory that an obscure firmware bug related to network traffic in the background could be causing some issues. I turned off settings related to network activity, and have not experienced an issue since. It's an easy thing to try.

I turned off the following network features, all under the Setup menu:
  • Under Network Settings, turned OFF Auto Home Network Access
  • Under Network Settings, turned OFF Remote Start
  • Under System Settings, turned OFF Software Update Notification (you can still check manually)

Thanks so much. I will try that
