I wonder what kind of truck tires they found that would hold up to these speeds.

the centrifugal force on a tire spinning at 400mph is huge, it doesn't matter if the tire is driven or idle. you have to use speed rated tires for this application.

I would love to go for a ride in that. They probably have to take it out to the salt flats. No way it hits that speed in the quarter mile and then stops(unless a dead stop). Jet cars are awesome to watch in person. They probably use NHRA type dragster tires they hit about 325 in the quarter.
