Hi there. Just a quick question for you.

I am having 4 zones of lights:

    1. Main theater recessed lights
    2. Bar area recessed lights
    3. Rope lights around riser area
    4. 4 sconces

I will be able to create any type of scenes with these combinations.

    Questions.
    1. Shall I expand a zone anywhere else like behind the screen rope lights?
    2. For the recessed lights, do I get the white trim and paint it black to match my ceiling or do they have black recessed cans?

    Ok thanks much.

Any thoughts on which cans (color and brand) to put on my black ceiling?

Just my opinion, but I don't think white trims would look good on a black ceiling.

I think you can get black trims for 6" and 4" recessed lights. Try manufacturers like Halo, Juno, or Lightolier. You can find Halo stuff at Home Depot. For the others you'll probably have to go to a lighting supply shop.

I know for sure that you can get low voltage trims in black. I have some small recessed lights in basement that were just put in. They use MR16 halogen bulbs. The trims I have are white but I remember from the catalog that they also come in black.
