4 ohm speaker to 8/6 ohm amplifier?

    Anything bad would happen when I hook up my 4 ohm speaker to a Amplifier output of 8 & 6 ohms?

    Not if its a good one and you don't have the need to play it constantly over reference. Mine is listed at 8 but my fronts are 6 and my center is 4 I think..... but it has like 110 watts per channel and I don't do earth shattering volumes, rarely even reference because I have such a good sub. I am partial so I will admit it here.. I have an SVS sub.

    One or two channels should be no problem. All 5 channels may cause the AVR to go into protect mode and/or shut off during high demand.
