Tim - no misquoting. You just said HDTV, with no TV singled out, at least in your original post.
I've got the KV-36HS500. I'd expect an XBR to only perform better, but I can't say.
If you buy a 36" flat screen HDTV, make sure you know exactly where it goes beter you get it. Also, get shipping included in the price and make sure they send two or three men to deliver it and set it up. Warn them if they have to go up stairs.
It took three of us to move mine into my upstairs apartment the first time. Moving out, we used five men to move it downstairs to the truck, and then five to bring it into the house. And my friends have sworn never to help me move this TV again. These TVs are very heavy (~250 lbs), off balance (front heavy), and aren't designed to be moved (no good lifting/holding points). They are very difficult to move.
Good TV. Good quality. Wouldn't buy one again.
