I have a Bose Cinemate with the 300W woofer and the two dual speaker boxes, built thru 2008. Lost the remote. There is a youtube showing how to replace the IR receiver in the interface module, the guy replaces the IR receiver and it allows the remote to turn on the unit. I couldnt find the interface module pinout on the web, so I took the interface module apart. Its a 9 pin db9 female, plugs into the woofer. There are 4 screws in the bottom all covered in potting compound. Thats how you take it apart. Here's the pinout: pin 1 (top right on the db9) is the red rca, 2 is gnd, 3 goes to the green led (other pin on the led is gnd), 4 to the red led (5V, other pin is gnd), pin 5 goes to the right side of the IR receiver (viewed from the bottom; 5V, middle is gnd), pin 6 is the white rca, pin 7 is the IR out (left pin on the ir receiver). I think the IR receiver is a vishay TSSP4P38. Hope this helps someone.
