I've been looking at these two for the last month and a half since my TV died. They both have great features and can look wonderful when properly calibrated.

What I've noticed:

the Toshiba has 2 HD component inputs, the Panasonic only 1 true HD input.

The Panasonic has black vertical bars in 4:3 mode, more asthetically pleasing than the bright grey bars on the Toshiba (espcially when playing non 16:9 videogames)

The Toshiba has 3:2 pulldown, the Panasonic does not (how important is this?)

What are your opinions on these sets? Are there any other pros/cons I should be aware of?

I plan on buying soon so any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Jason if you are referring to the Panasonic CT-34WX50 then you would have 2 HD, or alternately 2 480p inputs. Both inputs handle the required scanning frequencies. The Panny also has 3:2 pulldown according to the specifications. The newer version (CT-34WX52) coming out this spring /summer should have a few additional enhancements for NTSC conversion.
