I'm looking for a 32in 4:3 set that can:

-Display 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i

-Has (at least) two component video inputs

-Vertical squeeze

for under $1000

Does anyone know of a set that they can recommend? Also, are there 4:3 sets that perform line doubling?

Thanks,
Ben

Check out the Zenith line: C27V36, C32V36, C32V37. The V37 has a built in HDTV tuner and can be found for $899 every now and then at some Best Buys or Circuit City.

I would also check out the JVC Model AV-32DF74 Don't know if it does 720P though? & see the Post "16:9 mode on non-Wega TVs??" For specs on the JVC try JVC's website where you can also download the Owners Manual on the set & Sears website also has some specs. on it. You should be able to get the JVC for around $800 if you fight with them. :D The JVC also has a One Year Labor Warranty compared to Zenith's 90 Day Labor Warranty if that's important to you.
