Thx, Mike. Very interesting. I wonder if the elimination of what I would think is the minimal content required for region restriction encoding has to do with a purist desire to get rid of anything consuming the bit budget not releated the highest fidelity vid and aud on SBs.

Btw, Mike, what's on the R3 SB of Gattaca that's not on the R1?

There were 1 or 2 2-disc R3 Superbit sets where the disc with the extras was not multi-region encoded. All the discs in BHD definitely are multi-region. The 2nd disc of the R3 Spider-Man Superbit is only encoded R3, not multi-region.
