Do I really need to buy a component cable or can I just use 3 composite video cables? The reason I need to know is that I have some high end composite video cables lying around and instead of buying another component cable I would rather just use my composites if possible. Thanks.

That will work fine. I would assume they are all the same type and design?

Yup, they're all the same high performance 75ohm cables. Thanks for the response.

VampireWire's Component cables are made up of three composite cables, with a little color-coding heatshrink applied to color code them.

No difference at all in the actual cable.
