My Toshiba RPTV has a setting for Film or Video. I am guessing that movies on DVD are film based. But what about TV shows? Don't they film most of those? Or doesn't that matter? Please explain when to use the Film setting and if it is really going to make a visible difference. Toshiba 65H84 at 11 feet.

    Thanks in Advance

    Movies are film
    TV Shows are video

You will find oddities both ways as exceptions.

If you run video mode on film, you will drop some frames.

    Greetings

You can visually tell what is film and what is video based.

Sports events are video based for instance.

The film/video mode does not work in HD mode anyway.

    Regards
