Just wondering what the diference is between 2 way and 3 way? I am considering either the jbl 38's, inf IL 10, or parad studio 20's. I know the inf IL 10's are 2 way, while the jbl's are 3 way, not sure about the paradigns.

    That should give you a good understanding of what a 2way, 2.5way and 3way speaker is. The Studio20 is a 2way, the 40/60/80 are 2.5way, and the 100 is a 3way.
A 3way and 2.5way are a lot harder to get the crossover right than a 2way. But when done right the 3way does have some advantages.
With the speakers you listed, I wouldn't get hung up on the underlying design. Give each a listen (make sure they don't flip the S38 to the wrong orientation on you, ie the tweeter should be directly above and inline with the mid) and decide for yourself who implemented the best crossover network.
