    I have the R2 version. It was just OK. I did not think there was anything special or outstanding about it. It is actually a rip-off of Romero's "The Crazies".

    Got my R2 copy as well. Good disc, they did a nice job with it.

    I liked the movie myself, just did not want to wait for the October release.

    DVD Planet also has a October 21st street date for separate widescreen and fullscreen editions. They also have new cover art that I have never seen before, but it does not specify each format so I am guessing it is only temporary artwork.

    They also have specs, which could be final: 5.1 Dolby Digital; Director and Writer Commentary; 3 Alternate Endings; Deleted Scenes; Pure Rage: The Making of Featurette; Production stills gallery; Jacknife Lee music video: Animated Story Boards; Theatrical Teaser; Theatrical Trailer

    It doesn't look like it will have the Anatomy of a Scene which aired on the Sundance channel about a month ago.

    Are the specs pretty much the same on the R2 disc?

    Yeah, I'm not surprised that they're the same. I have a feeling that these are the final specs, but if anyone can confirm it, please do. I'm surprised none of the other major DVD websites have posted anything yet.

    Specs haven't been 100% confirmed by Fox .. and the artwork isn't 100% yet either .. I've seen both the Orange Cover and the Red Cover .. my guess is that they will screw it all up and throw some "Faces" on there instead. Like the X-Men 2 artwork [IMG] .. oh well ..

    Specs as I have them are:
    * Director and Writer Commentary
    * 3 Alternate Endings
    * Deleted Scenes
    * Pure Rage: The Making of Featurette
    * Production stills gallery
    * Jacknife Lee music video: Animated Story Boards
    * Theatrical Teaser & Trailer

    2 Versions, Anamorphic Widescreen and Full Frame (Same features on both)
    5.1 English track

    I hope they use the poster, with the Rage eyes. Anything else would be ridiculous. October is the best month for DVDs, no doubt about it.

    The R2 Special Edition UK has all the alternate endings. They are just buried in the eight deleted scenes. Since one deleted scene segues into the alternate endings (can't have one without the other).

    FOX is trying to make the R1 more gimmicky. The documentary was annoying. I just wanted to see how the movie was made and behind the scenes stuff, but the had to mix in all these experts on virii etc.. Yawn. Cough. To think the SARS epidemic came about after this movie was made... [IMG]

    Thanks. [IMG] [IMG]

    Pretty much what I expected, although I am a bit surprised they didn't put that "reinvents zombie horror" quote I have been seeing everywhere on.

    I wanted this movie to be as good as everyone was putting it up to be, but was let down immensely. I thought the movie was horrible. The directing was pretty decent, and an abandoned London(thought that was the city) was cool, but a total let down otherwise. I though the Harry Potter sequel was more scary than this movie. Oh well I will just have to wait for the next disappointment it seems[IMG]
