I know we usually talk huge screans, being Home theater nuts and all. But I have a friend looking to get a nice 27 to 30" TV for his parents. budget is around 500 ish. he wants a nice TV with a flat screen, any format LCD or CRT will be fine (it doesnt have to be thin) the goal here is nice picture with bang for the buck, which leans me toward CRT.

anyone got any insight? I know I used to like Toshibas when it came to smaller CRT standard TV's before I went the projector route. Are they still of good quality? I dont want to reccomend a tv then have it crap out in a week.

any guidance you guys might have would be great

Thanx

Might also want to look at the Panasonic flat tube TV's. Good PQ and reasonable price. Have never owned a Toshiba tube, but most any bar or restaurant that has TV's seem to all use Toshiba.....must be a cost effective reason.
