Man this show rocks. We still have seven episodes left in the uk but its getting released in august and I'm hoping we're getting some decent extras. This show kicks the ass of all that Buffy, Angel shit so hopefully Fox will put the effort in to the set. Man Kiefer Sutherland seems to be getting cooler with age. Great show [IMG]

The extras in the first season were basically nonexistent. Hopefully they will do something more this time around.

When Season 1 was released somebody at either Fox or with the producers said Season 2 would have more extras. I don't remember more than that. I believe Season 1 was rushed to get it out before the start of Season 2, but they were going to be better prepared this time around.

There's already been loads of deleted scenes classified at the BBFC, so I'm guessing this set will have quite a few extras.

There is a good chance there might be Dolby 5.1 at least. As all of this season's episodes had the Dolby Digital logo in the end credits. Instead of last season Dolby Surround.

However, this could mean nothing, as there is such a thing as Dolby Digital Surround. However, with CSI S2 coming out in 5.1, I think this is very possible.

UK DVD news site The R2 Project has posted the details for the UK edition of 24 Season 2. I'm assuming that the R1 edition will be identical. Considering the length of the extras my guess is that this'll be a 7 disc set.

    Extras:

45 Deleted scenes which can be viewed independently with or without commentaries or branched into episodes

    Two-part documentary "24 Exposed" totalling 96 minutes

Featurette "On the Button -The XXXXXXXXX" (Spoiler removed)

Episode commentaries from cast and crew including Kiefer Sutherland, Dennis Haysbert, Sarah Wynter, Sarah Clarke, Xander Berkeley, Penny Johnson Jerald, Michelle Forbes, Joel Surnow, Bob Cochran, Jon Casser and Howard Gordon

The picture is presented 16:9 FF with DD 5.1 sound.

I'm guessing the FF is a typo, German news site area-dvd.de reports 16:9 anamorphic video. Also, 5.1 (yay!)

Damn, that's a sick looking set. I just hope we get the same features as R2. The Season 1 set we got was a little different. The R2 version had chapter search, better menus, and the "Previously on 24" intros, so there's a slight possibility they won't be identical this time around.

Better news, tho rather off topic, is that FOX is supporting High Def this coming season for it's TV shows.

24 in High Def!!!! It's like heaven for me.

Can't wait for this DVD set.

Looks like I was right about the 5.1.

The only extra I'd like to have (beyond what has been mentioned) is a "Play All" option on each disc. If they did it for Family Guy (can't wait for the 2nd set) - they can do it for 24.

Great. That set sounds so good, if that IS what R1 gets, I'll HAVE to go back and get Season 1.
