Loved the way Ricky came busting in with the troops after Jack took care of business! And the Russians acting all big and bad? Too funny.

So for everyone that wished for a major overhaul next season it looks like your wish is coming true in spades. Seems they are pretty much blowing up the show, with a location set outside L.A. and just about all of the cast (save for Jack, of course) will not be around next season. Oh yeah...it's been extended for two more seasons.

Beyond changing the locale (which could be cool) and thus the cast, how much can you really change the show? Jack is still going to be stopping the bad guys from doing bad things by kicking their ass. It's not like he is going to be stopping crime by heading up a crime scene investigation unit. [IMG]

Maybe Spicer and the producers both know that he could not stage things as elaborately as he likes if he were doing eight episodes a season instead of four and they save him for episodes with big action set-pieces. He does them as well as anyone on TV.

What would Bauer do then? I don't think any of us would rather see Jack pushing papers instead of breaking bad guy's necks. [IMG]

When? Kiefer is signed for 2 more seasons. I think it's more likely that Doyle will get killed off before then.

Anyone here ever checked out the Showtime series Sleeper Cell? There are 2 short seasons out on DVD- it covers the same story area as 24, without the real-time pacing, and shows more of what the terrorists are doing behind the scenes.

    Spin off?
    48
    or,
    CTU: (insert city here)
or, better yet, give Kiefer his own spin off:

    naturally...The Jack Bauer Power Hour!

I've watched both seasons of Sleeper Cell. Not a bad show, but nowhere near 24 IMHO. I realize that it's not trying to be the same type of show, but at times it was almost too slow for me to stay interested in it.

Did anyone else see the Simpsons "24 Minutes" episode last night?

Can't believe that I went from - "Woo-HOO! 24 starts!" to "Jeez, thank God this season is finally OVER!"

Note to producers of 24: You may want to actually sit down and WRITE out the next season during your summer break and stop the seemingly making-it-all-up-as-we-go-along feeling this season had!

They've already said that they're going to plan a little more ahead when they do next season. While I think their luck ran out this year, I don't think making it up as they go is all bad- Season Three was planned ahead (as much as 24 gets planned anyway) and Seasons Four and Five weren't planned ahead and I'll take S4 and 5 over S3 any day of the week.

As I will not be able to watch it "live" due to childcare issues, I am hoping my DVR does not crash during the final episode of 24 this year as it did last year. (I had to find a local fellow forum member who still had it saved!).

I am a little concerned as everytime I have shut the power off over the last few days it has rebooted! Maybe I will make sure to turn the beast on when I get home and not turn it off until after I have watched the final episodes!

24 Hours of Terror: Kim (because Keifer will be busy shooting the regular show, and Elisha Cuthbert just sort of has the scream queen vibe about her) has to deal with all the terrorists her father has killed attacking LA, with only Zombie Tony, Michelle, and Curtis to help her.

My friends and I have actually kicked around how this idea might work a lot.

"If you send someone to follow me, I'll kill him......I'm pretty good at that too"

Kind of a strange ending. Never seen 24 do a fade out like that. The last half hour kept me pretty tense..waiting for something to happen.

As much bitching there was about this season, and I certainly shared in some of it, the last 15 minutes really got to me. I'm glad I stuck through it, despite how contrived it was to get there.

I think Jack's dad somehow got on that little boat and got away.

I also still wanna know what the heck the US gave China in order to get them to release Jack at the beginning of the season.
