Just curious. The DVD says it has all 24 episodes. Let's say an episode of TV is 40 minutes. The DVD running time is 576 minutes. 576 divided by 24 equals 24. Does this mean that the episodes are abridged and the DVD doesn't have the entire un-edited season? Or am I just really bad in math?

Are you seeing this disc on Ebay? If so it's a nasty bootleg

The sets have all 24 episodes unabridged for a total running time in the thousand minute range

Thanks. No, it's from Rogers Video in Canada. The purchase package says 576 minutes. The rentals are broken into three sections (ep 1-8, 9-16, 17-24). Each runs 192 minutes for eight episodes. Either they are mistaken or Canada is getting a short version. I've emailed to ask them.

I have the American DVD box set of the first season of "24." I don't have the exact figure handy, but the running time listed on the package is over 1,000 minutes.
