You’re likely correct. My take is one of the questions that should be asked about a potential hall of famer is was he/she regarded as an elite player while they were active? The answer to this question about Trout is yes.I disagree, I think Trout did enough in his career to be inducted into the HOF. He had nine outstanding seasons even with the injuries the last 3-4 years. He was named to at least 10 all-star games and won the AL MVP three times. It might not be first ballot, but he's going in as there have been other HOF players that had injuries but were so good when they were healthy, they were still voted in. Koufax, Mauer and Puckett come to mind and there is probably a couple I'm leaving out.
