The general lack of new product this week might have actually helped Everything Everywhere All At Once as people who haven't gotten around to it yet look for something to see.
My local AMC finally got Everything Everywhere All At Once this week. I had too much going on in the last few weeks to drive to another theater and see a nearly two and a half hour movie but since it was near me, I saw it and me and a friend thought it was fantastic.

With those estimates, the total domestic gross since April 14 of The Secrets of Dumbledore is now equal to what Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone made in its first weekend 21 years ago, ignoring inflation.

Yep. As I said elsewhere, they could have had a fun franchise if they'd concentrated on Newt and the titular "Fantastic Beasts," but instead turned it into a dull treatise on the history of wizard politics. This likely turned off a lot of the audience, including myself. They should have ignored the HP franchise as much as possible and concentrated on creating an adjacent world centered on Newt and his creatures, perhaps with short cameos from HP characters.

This is no longer "Fantastic Beasts". This is "Dumbledore: The Early Years".

They should have dropped the Fantastic Beasts title after the first movie
I agree with you based on content but I think they felt obligated to keep it because of branding. Lots of studios, including Warner, seem to believe that audiences won't connect a sequel with a previous film unless they put the franchise title at the front. For example, Catching Fire couldn't just go out as Catching Fire as the book did; it had to be The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. I think that underestimates the audience, James Bond movies don't put his name in front of every title and people still know what they are.

they could have had a fun franchise if they'd concentrated on Newt and the titular "Fantastic Beasts," but instead turned it into a dull treatise on the history of wizard politics.
I watched the first two films back-to-back the day before the third one opened here. Watching all three films in a row demonstrated how much the series has shifted its creative direction, and not for the better. I wouldn't go so far as to say that a series about wizard politics wouldn't work, but I do think that this series as it is currently bing executed doesn't work anymore, and it does feel like a bait-and-switch from what was originally presented as opposed to what it has turned into.

To be totally fair, the first film did start with the issue of Grindelwald's whereabouts right off the bat with the newspaper headlines opening. But it quickly presented Newt as the protagonist of that story and Grindelwald as someone who was operating in the background. Newt is no longer the protagonist of the films; instead, he and the other characters introduced in the first film seem like they just kind of have to be there because of some kind of franchise-minded obligation. If Dumbledore vs. Grindelwald was really the primary story that the filmmakers were interested in telling, they should have led with that in the first place instead of with Newt. The wizard world is a big place and could fit lots of stories. They did a movie about Newt and his creatures. They could go on to do Quidditch Through the Ages as a sort of wizard world sports biopic movie. Instead, having everything come back to characters from the existing lore makes the world feel smaller and inherently limits their ability to branch out and do different things therein.

I know that there are some fans of the series on this board, and I really wish I could join in their enthusiasm. I really don't mean to sound like a wet blanket here. But I think that it is clear from the box office returns that the wider general public opinion of the Fantastic Beasts series has fallen off dramatically and I don't see how WB can justify continuing it in its current iteration.

On another note, here is a particularly good episode of Charts with Dan for this which has some deep dive analysis of the numbers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
