Yes he’ll likely go to prison. Hard to understand the psychology of a person who is wealthy, and has life by the tail, and voluntarily gives it all away.

Bad karma indeed for the Yankees in 2019. They lost Betances to a partially torn Achilles Heel after just throwing 9 pitches in his first game of the season and now Domingo German, who won 18 games this season is on administrative leave due to a domestic violence investigation. Man, you can't make this crap up.

Makes a Yankees fan wonder when all the injuries and other stuff will catch up with the team (there’s only so much that any team can overcome).

Some of us have already resigned ourselves that they'll come up short this post season. With that said, it's baseball so they still have to play the games.

It will be fascinating to see how Boone uses his starters and bullpen. I doubt there will be much grey area as far as the media and fans opinions are concerned- he’ll either look like a genius or a buffoon, depending on the results of his maneuvering.

I would guess either the Dodgers or Cardinals the second team.

Braves and Cardinals will most likely meet in the 1st round.

Cubs stunk today- no clutch hitting, and their bullpen gave up 2 cheap runs to the Cardinals
(three straight walks, and a Molina single). Sure seems that the Cubs are done. Three hours
    55 minutes to play a 9 inning 2-1 game-
    excruciating.

And will tie the Yankees at 19 with one more win or a Nats loss

    Pity Party Post:
Of course then they can lose in the 1st round to the Cardinals putting me out of my misery and allow me to enjoy the rest of the postseason with no rooting interest. I am quite sure their streak of 9 consecutive playoff series losses (and 1-11 since 1999 WS) is already a record.

1-3 all time all time against the Cardinals in the Postseason with a stellar 4-10 record -- all 4 wins in the 1996 NLCS which they won 4-3 rallying from a 1-3 hole. They then won 2 games in Yankee Stadium (5 game winning streak runs total 48-2) before proceeding to collapse in the WS up 2G-1 despite a 6-0 lead into the 6th inning at home of Game 4 --- 8 unanswered runs later they eventually lost G4 and the last 4 games of the series (G3/4/5 at home). At least it was only the second largest blown lead in WS history. They've never been the same after that series

Also interesting that I attended G3-4-5 of the 2001 NLCS against Arizona which started the streak and witnessed a 3 game sweep at home and Arizona celebrating on Turner Field. 6 errors and 8 Unearned runs in 3 games tends not to play well against Schilling and Johnson

Not a good look for Professor Positive today- he lets Garcia walk the bases loaded in the 8th before getting somebody hot in the bullpen? Where’s a sense of urgency? He knew the next loss ends the Phils season. While I agree with anyone who says this season isn’t Gabe’s fault,
I’ll say that he does a questionable job of handling pitchers, and the whole “we’ll be alright” drone insults fans intelligence. I doubt he’ll be the manager for much longer.

I’d be shocked, shocked I say if they bring Kapler back.

    Shocked.

    Fire all of the managers.

Let the fans vote for in game decisions and lineups.

I listened to the Braves and Indians radio broadcasters recently, and on the subject of Kapler’s status in Philly, those guys think it’s a possibility that he’ll be gone after the season.
Talking heads on MLB Radio mention the Phils as one of the jobs that could be open soon too
(the Mets is another team mentioned).

Probably a lot of managers will not be returning next season.

Mets have Riggleman as bench coach.
I’d like to see them keep chili Davis and phil regan. Regan has been a calming presence with the Mets starting pitchers. They’ve had a really good second half in terms of. Starting pitching.

Tomorrow afternoon will be Reds radio voice Marty Brennaman’s last broadcast. He’s been their voice for 46 years, and he’s still one of the best. He will be missed, and it’s a shame I couldn’t listen to more of his games. What would be cool is if Uecker stops by the booth to say a few words during the game tomorrow- that would be a treat to listen to.

My Braves are limping to the finish line with injuries as well, and get stuck playing probably the hottest team down the stretch, the Cardinals. Sigh...
