Yes, McDaniels would be a package deal guy, meaning he wants to surround himself with his own people and obviously DePodesta would not be that. One of the reporters said that in Cleveland the head coach has to hand over his game plan each week to DePodesta who then runs it through his analytics system and then tells you if it is a good game plan. That's a bizarre approach I think and I can see why McDaniels (or most people) would want nothing to do with that. Haslam apparently loves this analytics approach so DePodesta and/or that system is not going anywhere.

The Browns fans should stage a one game boycott to embarrass that idiot owner. The Browns won’t win until they get a better owner.

I'll state the obvious... Patrick Mahomes is a special player.

Yes I felt the game was over at the point Mahomes got the 27 yard rushing TD late in the first half to take the lead.

Tennessee hung for a while and played a nice game. But as nice a season as they wound up having, and as good a coach as Vrabel turned out to be, Reid flat out outcoached The Titans in that second half.

And even though I doubt it would have made a difference, how was that a DPI on Tennessee with 4:00 left? I get that the defender didnt turn around, but there wasnt any contact. Their arms barely brushed together. No tugging, grabbing, pulling. The receiver didnt even run into the defender. The ball was underthrown and hit the defender in the back. Usually in that situation the defender winds up running through the receiver, but not this time.

Oh well, as an AFC fan I guess I'll be rooting for the Chiefs in 2 weeks.

The Packers are as dead as yesterday- I shut the game off immediately after they lost the fumble. Chiefs vs. 49ers in Miami- I think it will be a close game.

There was contact on that pass interference call, and the defender didn't turn around to play the ball until after the contact. It was the proper call.

The Packers run defense is horrific. This is a complete ass kicking.

Mostert just got his third rushing TD. Looking at the replay, the hole the 49ers opened up in the Green Bay defense was big enough to drive a car through.

49ers 37 points on just 8 pass attempts by
    Garoppolo. Mostert 220 rushing yards
(285 total). Embarrassing performance by the Packers defense. I can’t help but think the Packers are wasting Rodgers’s talent- just 1 Super Bowl appearance with one of the most physically talented QBs who has ever played.
That giveaway in Seattle in the championship game 5 years ago will always gnaw at the
Packers fans, Rodgers, McCarthy and the rest of the team.

Both the 49ers and Chiefs looked very impressive in both of their playoff wins the past two weekends. This looks like one of the better Super Bowl match ups. Hopefully the actual game lives up to the match up on paper.

That's the question that remains to be answered as we've seen great paper match-ups beforehand in which the actual game was not so great.

The early line for the game- Chiefs by 1. The gambling powers that be think it will be a good game.

I'm gonna see it-- even if the 49ers dominate it, I'm still gonna see it (the reasons are obvious, or should be).

Here's a fun fact: The Detroit Lions have never drafted a Super Bowl QB. The Detroit Tigers have. Patrick Mahomes in the 37th round in 2014.

Well, if you want to be technical, the Lions did draft Charlie Batch, who earned two Super Bowl rings as a backup for the Steelers. So I guess I should have stated "Super Bowl starting QB". ;)

About Mahomes- I think he’s the first QB drafted by the Chiefs to win a game for the Chiefs since 1987 (they’ve been getting QBs from other teams for a loooooooong time).

Eli is retiring. Not a big surprise- he wouldn’t have had many teams interested in him as a
    starting QB anyway.

Let the discussion begin- hall of famer, or not?
I think he gets in (2 rings, 2 Super Bowl MVPs,
the last name, played in NY, and the 200 games started streak will go a long way towards his
    inclusion).

There is no way Eli Manning isn't in the HOF. No way!
