I don't think the game will be close at all.
Seahawks 49, Broncos 19.

I believe in the old chestnut, Defense wins Championships.

I'm rooting for Seattle.

I don't really care all that much, but I'd rather see them win than Manning. Hopefully the Seahawks defense has him running all day (and crushed by sacks a few times).

Yes, the NFL has in recent years used hosting a Super Bowl as a carrot to get new stadiums built in areas. It certainly was part of the equation for Ford Field here in Detroit, as well as in Indianapolis. However, I doubt that the league would award the game to a cold weather city for an outdoor game in many cities other than New York. Does anyone really think they would hold the game outdoors in someplace like Buffalo, even with a new stadium? Chicago did not get a Super Bowl, even after the renovation of Soldier Field.

It took almost 50 years for the first cold weather outdoor Super Bowl, and I think it will be a very long time before we see another one. My best guess for the next cold weather venue is Minnesota, since they are starting construction on a new indoor stadium.
When we built our new stadium a few years ago, the NFL said no to ever hosting one. I think Seattle would be a great city to host. Not as warm as FL, but no where near as cold as NYC. Would be a nice change of pace.

As a Hawks fan I will be pulling for them, but I think it is going to be a super close game. They team that makes the fewest mistakes will win. Its going to be a great game to watch, that's for sure! Will be kind of funny if P Harvin is who wins the game as Seattle fans have been ragging on him all year for being expensive and not playing. He would go from zero to hero :)

The Denver Post had the mayor of Denver on a webcast, and it appears that Denver will make a big push to host the game.

That is just a local politician capitalizing on the Broncos being in the Super Bowl to get himself some face time on camera. Denver is not getting a Super Bowl.

Let's go Broncos! Wait, I'm a Raiders fan so I can't really root for them, even though, I always liked Manning. However, the Seahawks were one time in the AFC West too so I can't really root for them either. Hell, may the best team win, I just hope Manning plays well and possibly win his second SB.

Robert you better never come out to the Bay Area after saying "Let's go Broncos!" :)

I don't care for the Broncos but I do like Manny. That said I want the Seahawks because I would like someone new to win it all.

That is my hope. I really, really want Seattle to win, but I'm a little worried.

Their main strength is their defense. Hopefully it will pull through and add a little blip to the history books.

I couldn't believe it took this long for Guy. He should have been in there a long time ago as he changed the game in which a great punter can be a viable weapon for a football team. Guy never had a punt returned for a TD nor missed a game in his 14 year career. He only had 3 punts blocked in his career.

Robert I completely agree that he should have been in years ago. He is one of the few players in the game that redefined their position and in his case there were no rule changes that made it happen. He is the reason they started tracking hang time.I'll will also add that for awhile he was a kickoff specialist for the Raiders that often got touch backs when touch backs were fairly rare in the game.On top of that he was for many seasons the third string QB but admittedly did play much QB.The HoF is an honor he richly deserves.

See I am not a big fan of owners being in the Hall.

Certainly owners like Halas, Hunt, Davis and a few others I have not mentioned deserve the Hall. Owners like DeBartolo, Kraft, Jones don't belong in the Hall. Just having a winning organization is not enough to get you in. You need to have made a fundamental difference in the history of the game to get in the Hall as an owner.

Congratulations to the Seahawks and their fans. This one's over and we have another half to play.
