The Wonder Years completely unedited with all the music exactly as broadcast.

Finish the series already started which for me are:
Leave It To Beaver
Cheers
Amazing Stories
Dream On

Jonathan, I'm definitely wishing for this one (but not in 2008). I deliberately left this series along with "Ed", "China Beach", and "Homefront" off of my own wish list in hopes the studios involved would someday get these series released as they original appeared on television. For me, the music is too essential including "The Wonder Years" without it.

Another wish:

—That studios start plans of action for releasing ENTIRE series that includes restoration/remastering (where necessary), clearances, extras, a consistent schedule, and ADVERTISING. Lack of sales do not necessarily equal lack of interest.

I'd love to see The Donna Reed Show, My Three Sons, and Father Dowling Mysteries- not that I expect to see any of them!

Actually, I think there's a very good chance of seeing "Father Dowling Mysteries". It's close to 1,000 votes on TVShowsOnDVD.com and climbing. And like someone else brought up in the thread for this series, it has the same appeal as "Murder, She Wrote".

Just a couple for me:

Brooklyn Bridge, complete series (all 34 half-hour episodes)

Picket Fences, seasons 2+

The Adventures of Pete & Pete, season 3

I'm enjoying The Fugitive (purchased blind based on the praise of this forum) and I'm glad it's continuing. Route 66 sounds interesting - I'll have to find a way to sample this to see if the show appeals in a way that overcomes everyone's concerns about poor presentation. I'd also love to sample The Invaders, based on all the discussion, and hope it finally sees release in the States.

And finally two made-for-television films - both Ray Bradbury pieces, I just realized:

The Electric Grandmother (1982, with Maureen Stapleton)

The Halloween Tree (1993, animated)

Each year we are surprised both in that some seemingly obvious titles can't seem to see the light of day - and also that a few far-from-mainstream titles happily make it out. Though I understand how, in particular, music rights can pose especially high hurdles for certain titles, such as Wonder Years (some hardcore DVD or Wonder Years people insist it's worth any price to maintain the original music, but if that all-or-nothing price scares off most "typical" consumers, can the product actually float? I can see how the win-win solution might be elusive).

However, that concern aside, I can't help but notice how many series are competently released, show signs of chugging right through to the end of the series run, and apparently are good examples of well-designed and well-budgeted releases which are capable of existing on sales which are not going to be of "Lost" proportions. On the other hand, many series seem to come out, often extremely under-the-radar, and apparently need an arguably unrealistic purchasing response or we will never see season two. It's always heartbreaking to see that, due to poor business decisions, we lose a lot of series. Most series are deserving of a very modest (perhaps few or no extras) but respectful (decent transfer) release. There are SO many series, that's just the way it is. It is better that we have these series and they are not forgotten - with wise business choices, the public's dollars are there to pay for them. Some cases are no doubt real puzzles, but the current batting average seems disappointing. End of heartfelt rant.

Wishing wishing wishing...

Most of my favourite 60s/70s cult shows have been released and virtually all of my favourite short-lived contemporary shows have been released (love those new Twin Peaks and My So-Called Life sets!), but there's always room for more:

Previously unreleased:

The Invaders
Boris Karloff's Thriller
One Step Beyond (proper release)

Continued:

The Fugitive
Night Gallery (would love to see Image do the entire series!)
Incredible Hulk (once a year is too slow)
Mary Tyler Moore
Alfred Hitchcock Presents
Amazing Stories (there's only one more season!)
Superboy (probably unlikely due to the legal issues involving the "Superboy" character)
Rockford Files
Taxi
Barney Miller
WKRP

Re-released:

Spider-Man (60s animated)--current set is OOP
Spider-Man (90s animated)--proper sets, not OOP compilations
Space: 1999 restored season sets (like in R2)
The Prisoner restored set
Entire The Saint restored season sets

Unlikely:

Batman
Six Million Dollar Man
Bionic Woman

There a few hundred shows that I would love to upgrade to DVD on but I'll just list shows I want that I don't have most or all of already from tape or film.

Way Out
The Lieutenant
Bus Stop
Sam Benedict
The Eleventh Hour
The Outsider
Most Wanted
Double Life of Henry Phyfe
Hank
To Rome With Love
The Good Guys
Governor and JJ
The Debbie Reynolds Show
Slattery's People
The Smith Family
Love on a Rooftop
Many Happy Returns
The Tycoon

Of course there isn't a chance in hell for any of these to come out but this is a wish list, right?
