2002 Mits models (1 Viewer)

Anybody hear when the new XX909 models are going to hit the stores? Specifically the 55909? I think Mits will release the 73909 first, then work its way down to the 55, but has anybody rec'd a firm date from anyone on these models?

Well, the 2002 Platinum Plus line is already out, with Netcommand/HAVI and Firewire. I expected the Diamond series to follow.

Has NO ONE been promised a date for their 2002 Mits Diamond??

I'm waiting for the 46" to be released with 5C Firewire and NetCommand. No clue on dates.

if you can't wait for, or find, the 55909, take a look at the 55859 ... 5 element lens system, .52mm lenticular screen pitch (better than plus series), integrated hdtv, NetCommand/HAVI ... with the only difference being EDF lens vs. TruFocus (i didn't see enough of a difference to justify higher cost) ... so, at $3,350 (negotiated down from $4,000), i felt it's well worth the price.
