In Sunday's New York Times, there is an interesting article on 2001's theatrical rerelease, with observations about the changes in cinema since 1968. According to the article, Warner Bros says that if the rerelease goes well, it will be expanded into other cities in 2002.

That has always been Warner Bros. claim all along since this limited release was approved. I am planning on seeing the 70mm print. Hopefully, it will get released in other cities.
