$200 Subwoofer Recommendation (1 Viewer)

I'm new to the hobby and have a quick question regarding a subwoofer.

I have a 110 square foot room with a 5.1 setup with a pioneer elite receiver.
My budget is under $200 and I'm looking for a new sub woofer to replace my Sony SA-W2500

I checked amazon and found these options:

• Sunfire SDS-8: $192
• Polk Audio PSW10: $127
• JBL ES150PBK - $169
• Energy ESW-C10 - $170
• BIC V1020 - $163
  
• BIC America V-1220 - $221

Any thoughts to help my decision would be appreciated.

What speakers are you using in your system?

Just about anything will be an up on that Sony from what I remember about it. I like the Sunfire and Energy from your list but I would also look at these too.

• Polk PSW111 $185 This is a much better option than the PSW10. Its smaller but packs more punch.
• Energy Power 12 $170 This one has a larger driver than the one you linked and is rear slot loaded so carpet won't effect it as much.
• Dayton Sub 1200 $165 or the big brother the 1500 $200 if you have room. Great budget subs of all sizes so you can get one to fit your space and budget.
• Boston CSSub10 $180 Both the driver and port are down firing so it's great for kids/pets but you need to watch the height if putting it on carpet.
