    Hey all,

I recently moved and had to leave my behemoth 36" Toshiba tube behind after over 6 years of service, but the bright side is that I can finally get my first HDTV (or compatable) set. I haven't had a chance to get up to speed on the newer technology so I'm wondering if anyone has some suggestions. I'm space constrained right now so I'm mainly looking at LCDs that can be used as a second/bedroom unit in the future, that will be sitting on a desk for now. The Sharp LC26GA5U looks tempting, but it doesn't seem to be 1080p compatable. Are there any LCDs out there in the $1000-$1600 range that's compatable with the latest specs? Thanks in advance.

Are you sure you want to spend that much money on such a small set?
