At the official Queensryche website (www.queensryche.com) you can download two new live traks from the upcoming Operation: Mindcrime II album ("Hostage" and "I'm American"). I found "Hostage" to be ok, while I didn't care for "I'm American" much at all. Thought other fans might like to know.

Yeah, I would generally agree, though the quality of the recording isn't great, so both songs may sound better than it appears.

Interesting musical style, particularly on "Hostage." Much more like O:M/Empire-era than anything they've done since. Not a huge surprise given the subject-matter of the album, but it's nice to hear them actually starting to work guitar melodies back into their music.
