I noticed that there are a bunch of DVDs listed for release that have already been released. Examples include Blow, Donnie Darko, The Deep End, and a couple more. See Amazon and a bunch of other sites, which all have these titles marked as "pre-order." Is the content of these "new" releases different from the already existing discs, either adding or dropping features? Or are their respective studios changing the suggested price and this is being treated for some reason as a "new" release?

Just like videotape, DVD prices drop, titles go on moratorium and get re-issued.

Just because we've been around for the better part of five years doen't mean everybody has...

    Thanks for the clarification.

I still don't understand why a price drop leads to a reissue. The funny thing is that in anticipation of the release of the "new" version which is exactly the same as the old one, stores have been clearing out their old stock at prices below the new price. Best Buy was selling Donnie Darko for $8 and Virgin Megastore priced The Deep End and a whole bunch of other titles at $10.
