Back to my favorite topic: "let's convince Rich to get that DVD-Audio player, after all" (I mean, that's why we're all here, right?)...

Rich, for me DVD-Z or SACZ I care not, as I use both. Last night I spun Fagan's Nightfly and whoa!

What a great sounding and fun mix. Lots of bass too. I've got about:
25 DVD-A
25 SACD only
25 Hybrids

Nightfly = upper echelon of my Hi-Rez stuff. The stereo is not bad either.

"Nightfly" - definitely among the most tempting DVD-A discs!

BTW, just a brief revisit to the hybrid issue... probably the wrong place for this, but it's kinda "breaking news"...

Apparently, European (and Japanese?) releases of the Peter Gabriel and The Police catalogs will all be hybrids. Consider this rank hearsay for the moment, but this might be a good option for those who also really want/need a Red Book layer. As they say, developing...
